 Y’Anna possesses vocals that are often reminiscent of the iconic voice of the “Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin who has been one of her greatest musical influences.  Her musical interpretation takes you on a journey that is captivating, heartfelt, soulful, and spirit-filled.  Y’Anna is the 2009 BET Sunday Best Winner and Stellar Award Winner – Artist of the Year for 2012. She has worked with recording artist such as, TWEET, Raheem Devaughn, Dave Hollister, Jennifer Lopez, Ledisi, Chrisette Michelle, Angie Stone, and Grammy Nominated Producer – R&B Legend Glenn Jones and many more… Y’Anna’s faith-based roots,  yet market place appeal has afforded her opportunities to win awards, headline in historic venues and become the Founder & President of  “THE PROMISE Foundation” a proposed 501C3 organization that seeks to provide health & wellness, fitness education initiatives, self-esteem building for women and teens who struggle with identity crisis/low self-esteem, social services as well as scholarships to single mothers in the  African American & Latino Communities.
